Luisa S. Reyes

CO-FOUNDER & Co-CEO

Luisa Reyes is a co-founder of Sisterwork and alumna of Wellesley College (BA '20) and Brandeis International Business School (MA '21), where she studied International Economics and Finance. Prior to co-founding Sisterwork, she piloted an innovation lab initiative with The Future Project in Newark Public Schools, organized battleground state residents in the 2016 presidential elections, coordinated  a local food policy council, and facilitated youth leadership development with the Sadie Nash Leadership Project. Her passion for entrepreneurship and social impact grew through programs at MIT, Babson College, The Resolution Project, Clinton Global Initiative University, Young People For, and StartingBloc. She is an alumna of SEEDS - Access Changes Everything, African Leadership Academy, and The Lawrenceville School.

 

Sarah Lundy

CO-FOUNDER & Co-CEO
 

Sarah Lundy is a co-founder of Sisterwork, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and trauma- informed yoga instructor. She earned her Master’s of Social Work from Rutgers University in 2018 and undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont in Spanish and Latin American Studies. Sarah leads Sisterwork’s operations and applies her professional knowledge to inform program and curriculum design. She has worked in various capacities in New Brunswick, including for the Artist Mentoring Against Racism Drugs & Violence (AMARD&V) youth summer program, and the Center for Latino Arts and Culture. She currently works as a therapist in the field of trauma-informed counseling, and is a Community Partner at Healing Reimagined whose mission is to create accessible and inclusive healing spaces for individuals and communities using an anti-racist lens. She is passionate about serving survivors of sexual and gender based violence, working with the LGBTQ+ community, and has experience facilitating legal and social assistance for undocumented immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers.

 

Carolina Moratti

co-founder & COmmunity Director
 

Carolina Moratti is a co-founder of Sisterwork and Community Director. She is a committed single mother, chef, translator, community organizer, food justice advocate, event host, phlebotomy technician, and enthusiastic ally to all who support. Carolina champions Sisterwork’s program for immigrant mothers and applies her expertise in community marketing, public speaking, and community management to grow Sisterwork and support the New Brunswick community. In addition to her work with Sisterwork, she is the founder of the Promesa Project, and Local Strength, providing education, community service, and clothing giveaway opportunities to the public. Through her work, she aims to empower survivors of gender violence, immigrant mothers, and their families to thrive in the face of adverse experiences.

 

Sarah Ferreira

co-founder & Arts and Media Director
 

Sarah Ferreira is a co-founder of Sisterwork and artist through dance, theatre, and the visual arts. She has worked in arts education, project coordination, and stage management in regional arts and culture organizations including the Middlesex County Office of Art and History, New Brunswick Cultural Center, and American Repertory Ballet. Sarah earned her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University with a double major in Art History and Latino and Caribbean Studies and graduated from the Institute for Women’s Leadership at Rutgers. She leads the arts-based components of Sisterwork’s programs and media presence on social media.

Monica Guzman 

Monica has been working with Sisterwork for the past two years. Outside of Sisterwork, she is a Senior Search Operations Manager at Axis Talent Partners and an Empowerment Coach working with women of color in small businesses. She advises non-profit organizations, through providing program and organizational structure, mapping out yearly programming, and researching target participants through demographic data.

Prior to this role, she was an Associate Director of Program + People Operations at COOP where she was a decision maker among senior leadership, built and implemented the organization vision with the CEO, and leveraged change management to align with strategic plans. She led 3 cross functional teams with project management strategies and tools to successfully deliver programming to 200+ first generation students of color in marginalized communities annually.

Faina Leyvi 

Faina began working with Luisa Reyes as a mentor through The Resolution Project in late 2019 and is proud of the positive impact Sisterwork’s programming and services have on the community. 

Outside of Sisterwork, Faina is a Vice President and Chief of Staff to the Chief Financial Officer of Moody’s Corporation. She joined Moody’s in 2013 and served in various roles across the Investor Relations and Internal Audit teams. Prior to Moody’s, she worked for PwC in their Assurance practice.  Faina has an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business and a BAS in Accounting from Binghamton University.
